Title

White Britons view on Imperialism

Subject

Imperialism

Description

The picture I chose is a page that sums of the view of this book and the people who wrote it. The main point in this page is that Africa would be better if it was colonized. This articles pushes for the Africa to be civilized and Christianized. What this tells us is that Black weren't seen as normal or equal to the White Britons. They were seen as barbaric people who were in need of Christian morals. At this point the slave trade was ended in Britain but not in Africa. The Britons though it was the best and "Godly" thing to do is to colonize the Africans. Their religion justified their push for imperialism.
